Biography
Los Hijos Unicos was formed in North Adams, MA in 2006, where it recorded its debut album, “…and the lights go out”. The band played around Boston for a year or so and then relocated to Northampton, MA in late 2007. In the same year, Andy Goulet and Ryan Quinn formed the Salvation Alley String Band as a way to play acoustic music in Western Massachusetts.
After a couple years of maintaining two bands with very similar line-ups, the two bands were combined, keeping the name of the Salvation Alley String Band.. The Salvation Alley String Band is currently recording its second album, scheduled for release in the Summer of 2010.
